Why do I need travel vaccines?
Travel vaccines help protect you against diseases that may not be common in the UK but are still a risk in other parts of the world. They prepare your immune system before exposure and can prevent serious illness while you’re abroad.
How do I know which vaccines I need for my destination?
Our trained team will assess your travel plans and medical history, then recommend the vaccines or medications based on where you’re going, how long you’ll be staying, and what you’ll be doing there.
When should I get vaccinated before travelling?
Ideally, you should visit us 6 to 8 weeks before your trip. Some vaccines require multiple doses or take time to become effective, so it’s best to plan ahead. However, we can also help with last-minute travel if needed.
Do I need travel vaccines for short trips or holidays in Europe?
It depends on the destination and your personal health. While most European destinations don’t require vaccines, we’ll always check the latest guidance to ensure you’re covered; especially if you have stopovers or plan outdoor activities.
Are travel vaccines safe?
Yes, all vaccines we provide are licensed and administered by trained professionals in a safe, clinical environment. Side effects are usually mild, like a sore arm or slight fever, and we’re here to answer any of your concerns you might have.
What if I’ve had vaccines before, do I still need more?
You might! Some vaccines require boosters, and others may only be valid for a certain number of years. We’ll check your vaccination history and let you know what (if anything) needs updating.
Are there any other travel health precautions I should take?
Yes, depending on your destination, we may also recommend anti-malaria tablets, mosquito bite prevention, or traveller’s diarrhoea advice. We’ll tailor our advice to your itinerary and personal needs.
Can I get vaccines for my children too?
Absolutely. We offer travel vaccines for both adults and children. We’ll make sure your whole family is protected and feeling confident before you go.
